Work as a member of the healthcare team alongside physicians, surgeons, registered nurses and other healthcare workers delivering patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Surgical Technologist (CST)
Collin College offers an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Surgical Technology. The first year of the curriculum consists of prerequisites and general education courses. Once you have completed the first year, you may apply for admission. Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Board of Surgical Technology exam.

Central Sterile Processing
The certificate in Central Sterile Processing is a two-semester, special admission program. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for the national certification examination administered by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management  (IAHCSMM).

Surgical First Assistant (CSFA)
Surgical Technologists who hold their Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential, an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Healthcare, and have two years of recent clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist may apply for the Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) Surgical Assisting program.
